E.G.O TV is making an important change to the way customers pay for service.
Going forward, we are moving away from traditional card-processing platforms. E.G.O TV will now accept payments through PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, and money orders upon request.
We will not accept checks, and we will no longer use card-processing platforms.

Why We Are Leaving Card-Processing Platforms
For a long time, E.G.O TV accepted card payments like many other businesses.
It was familiar. It was convenient. It was the traditional way to collect monthly and annual payments.
But over time, we took a closer look at what card processing was costing our customers and our business. Processing fees are paid to large corporations and payment companies before the remaining money reaches us.
Our customers are paying for their E.G.O TV service. A portion of that payment can also go toward outside processing costs, corporate executives, and companies that do not share our community-first mission.
We are tired of watching money leave the community when it could be supporting the people around us.
We would rather take that money back and put it where it belongs: into our service, our programs, our sponsorships, and our community.

When a company pays processing fees on every transaction, those costs can add up quickly. Monthly plans, annual packages, equipment payments, and other customer transactions may all be affected by additional fees.

Protecting E.G.O TV From Chargeback Abuse
Our decision is also based on the financial risk connected to chargebacks.
We have seen situations where customers kept our services and devices, then asked their bank or card company to reverse the payment. In some cases, the customer continued using the service or kept the equipment while the payment was taken back from our account.
This creates a serious problem for a small, community-focused business.
Payment platforms can remove money from our account based on claims that we may not be able to verify quickly or fairly. The result is lost revenue, additional fees, administrative work, and less money available for our customers and community.
We will not allow payment platforms to take money from our business over claims we cannot properly verify.
A few bad experiences have made it necessary for us to protect the larger E.G.O TV family.

Money Orders Upon Request
Money orders are available upon request for customers who prefer an offline payment option.
